Speakers!

This month my family bought a lot of new speakers for our new house, and I was able to test them out to choose one for myself. I then thought of the importance good audio has on dancing, and how it would ultimately affect my dancing. Since when I first began dancing I wasn't able to dance properly or feel the beat due to bad speakers, I have firsthand experience of knowing how important speakers are to a dancer. So I tested out 4 speakers to see which one would help make my dancing the easiest. Enjoy this review!

[Speaker #1- Harman Kardon HK Nova]

These speakers are fairly small, and easy to move around. However, they were kind of sensitive when I tested them out since if I jumped, the floor in our house kind of shakes, the plug would come out. As well as that, these speakers had a lot of wires which was kind of a pain to handle. But since these were two speakers I could place them kind of far away, and the sound would resonate inside the room. The volume would also go extremely high, and the bass was easy to hear on these speakers. While dancing I was able to hear the sound very easily, and adjust the volume. Despite that, when I jumped to test whether they would withstand the floor shaking, they didn't and actually ended up falling, (yikes). Also, I tripped and fell on the wires, which could also be blamed on my clumsy personality, but that just made me more liable to falling.

[Speaker #2- Bo Concept Cupertino Speakers]

These speakers actually fit into my desk, and came with it, but could go either to my sister or me. Since these speakers fit into my table, there was less of a chance for me to trip on them, and they were very stable when I jumped in my room. They also went up to a fairly high volume, the sound was sharp and clear, and I could hear the beat and bass. These speakers also connected to my phone bluetooth very easily, and were very strong and stable. However, it would be hard to move around with these speakers, (especially since I am never sure of where I might be dancing), and they would need to stay in one place. They are also made from speaker fabric, so the echo of the music is very loud.

[Speaker #3- Harman Kardon HK Onyx]

These speakers, well, were not as good as I had thought. To begin with, this speaker is just one so there is louder sound in one area compared to the other. More-so, these speakers were very chunky and not balanced very well. They also had a lot of wires, which (surprisingly) I happened to trip over again. I then tested to see if they would stay in place when I was dancing by jumping up and down, a lot. These speakers, however, were not able to stay in place and almost fell down as well. This especially happened since these speakers are the loudest, and when they are on my shelf the whole shelf shakes. If you were dancing and that were to happen you would not only lose money, but also be distracted while you were dancing. Also, it would be nearly impossible to carry these speakers around if I wanted to record a video of me dancing. Despite all of that, these speakers had the loudest sound, and would be good as average speakers.

[Speaker #4- JBL Clip]

This speakers were fairly small compared to all the other ones I had been offered. That was an advantage and disadvantage at the same time since I would be able to carry these to anywhere I want to record my dance, they won't fall because I will be able to clip them, and they are easy. But, due to being smaller these speakers also don't make as much sound as the other speakers, (or so I thought). When I tested these speakers out they surprisingly were almost at par of sound with some of the other speakers, and was very stable when I danced and jumped around to see if it would fall. Of course, these speakers don't resonate throughout a whole room, but for its size the speaker made great sound. I also used these speakers when I recorded videos of me dancing since I was able to carry it easily to spots I wanted to dance at, and there were no wires attached! The battery also lasted long, and didn't run out during my recordings even though I had to record again multiple times.

That was my whole review! So if you happen to be a dancer, and need help with the sound maybe one of these speakers can help you make the dancing process easier! I will reveal next month what speaker I used!

Here is also a small update on my progress this month:

Time Management

This whole month for me was filled with tests, and I barely had time to breathe. Yet, I didn't neglect my dances, and finished learning 3 more dances during winter break, even though they were fairly easy. Before winter break, I was panicking since I thought I wouldn't have time to learn any dances, and it was a very stressful time. So, if something similar happens to you I suggest just forgetting about it as I forgot about learning dances and just focused on my upcoming tests. After I finished my tests I was basically dead, as in I didn't do anything the two days I was still in Qatar after break, I didn't even leave my bed. I then had to get up, sadly, and traveled during break and realized I must learn some dances.

I was then trying to learn these dances while travelling. In fact, at the airport I would practice the dances, even though I got some strange stares, and practiced with earphones. I went as far as to download these videos on my phone, and I watched them on repeat on the plane. When I was not amidst travelling I was usually out, in the city I was in, and I would get back at 9 pm. When I did get back I would try to practice for at least an hour, anywhere I could, and finished learning these choreographies by New Years Eve! Even though I had some struggles, and didn't think I would learn anything this whole month I was able to pull through and learnt some dances!

Here are 2 of my dances from this month. I still have a lot to improve on, so please leave some feedback and check in next month!

(They perform the dance near the end of the video)

(I learned the second dance from just watching these K-POP members perform it. They dance to it near the middle)
